H. E. McConnell Trucking was established in Aliquippa, PA., in 1931, hauling coal. The company moved to Poteau, OK, in 1948, at the request of the General Contractor, S. E. Evan’s Coal Company for a contract job in Bokoshe, OK. The company then relocated to the Little Rock/ North Little Rock area for highway work in 1959.
H.E. McConnell & Son, Inc. became a major company working with various contractors in the construction of the major interstates of Arkansas. The company worked on Lock and Dam numbers 2,3,5,6,7,8 and 9.
From 1969-1979, the company worked with the Ohio River Company hauling Bauxite Orr from the Little Rock Port to Reynolds Metal Company.
Currently, McConnell & Son, Inc. hauls dry bulk materials in pneumatic tanks in the local area.
McConnell & Son, Inc. is a versatile trucking company that is known for its excellent customer service and dependability.
